NO MORE SPICE
Cooked some spicy potatoes for dinner and now the entire house smells like super Tabasco and I keep coughing every time I smell it..lol..I guess I am not use to that. Owen and Wes are also hacking..maybe next time I will just stick to frying them up in olive oil with some salt and pepper and leave off the Tabasco.
OK I AM A SLACKER
So I decided to start my blog again. A lot has changed since the last time I blogged.
First off Owen is getting so big. He is now in the two room and of course is two. He talks like crazy. He is afraid of the Easter Bunny and runs around the house saying the oyster bunny is coming. He loves watching Diego and Dora and can count to 5 in Spanish on a good day. He is the most adorable little guy I have ever seen. He loves to swim, he has been in swimming lessons now for a month on Saturday.
Me, I am now working in the Elkhart office. I am so happy about it. I was sad at first because I will miss all my co workers who I have been with for 6 1/2 years. But I have made a lot of new friends here and let me tell you they all cheered when they found out I was staying on board. (I have been there helping out for the past three months).
Wes and I are doing great.
My mom moved to Southern Indiana with my grandma and they will be coming to visit on Mothers Day weekend.
Karen and I have been hanging out. Which is AWESOME.
I am going to start blogging more and facebooking less..facebook is getting out of control.

Before I was a MOM
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom..
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom .
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.

Its been eons...
So it has been so long since I have blogged. I really want to do it on a regular basis but it obviously escapes my mind most of the time.
I have been working in the Elkhart In SSA office for the past month and I am loving the drive. It takes me 10 min to get to work and 10 min to get Owen.
Owen is doing great...he is talking up a storm. Trying to put sentences together..yells..screams..acts two. He is moving up at daycare to the 2 room in a week. LOVELY. I am so excited. He is getting bored with all the little ones. Only thing that makes me nervous is they make them drink out of a cup...no sippy. They say he does great..but when I give him a cup at home he coughs and gags on it. Drives me nuts.
We got his first hair cut. I will have Wes email me the pictures so I can post them..it was too cute and he did GREAT.
He had the croup again this year..had to get on a steroid to help him get over it. But it worked and it only lasted for a few days.
Not too much else happening. Will write more later...
